Information will be provided on this page pertaining to the closing of Willow Run Community Schools and Ypsilanti Public Schools. The two districts will unite effective July 1, 2013 with a new educational model expected to improve student achievement outcomes.

Taking inventory

Brian Marcel, WISD Asst. Superintendent for Business Services reported at the March 27, 2013 WISD board meeting that an inventory and appraisal of capital assets for both districts (Willow Run and Ypsilanti) would need to be completed as part of the close-out of the existing districts and start-up of the new district.  The firm, AssetWORKS, will conduct the capital asset inventory and accounting, which will be funded through the consolidation grant.
